Sea lice outbreak in NL

CBC Nov 29 2012: “Health Canada has granted fish farms in Newfoundland and Labrador emergency approval to use a pesticide to help control sea lice.”

The data sheet of Salmosan, the pesticide used in Newfoundland, is reading:

“Main hazards: Very toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.”
